To help you find a healthy life-style for you and your family, The Thoreau Club offers many ways to get moving, stay motivated and feel energized. Surrounding your family with others who are active is the first step. Once you’re here you’ll benefit from the breadth of knowledge shared by our fitness professionals. During a group class or in a private training session we’ll answer your wellness questions and provide practical tips for leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Laura is the Wellness and Partnership Director at Thoreau Club. She is a Certified Wellness Coach and guides individuals to create a personal wellness vision that is attainable. Laura has completed 7 Boston Marathons, several triathlons and is a Pilates enthusiast.
  Peg shares her advice for good nutrition and preparing healthy snacks with members. Peg is a registered, licensed dietitian in the state of Massachusetts and with the American Dietetic Association. Her goal is to inform and motivate individuals to achieve a healthy dietary intake while taking into account individual preferences and health restrictions. Peg is enthusiastic about nutrition and knows how important it is to everyday living. She enjoys cooking and adapting recipes to make them tasty and healthy.
